Connecting to the internet
Stay connected on campus and online with Regent College London’s (RCL) Wi-Fi and digital services.
Connect to the Wi-Fi on campus
When you’re on campus, you can connect your phone, tablet, or laptop to the RCL student Wi-Fi network. This network is designed specifically for students and is available across all of our campuses. Follow these steps:
- Open your Wi-Fi settings and select RCL-Student from the list of available networks
- Enter the current Wi-Fi password provided by your campus team or displayed on noticeboards in student areas
- Once connected, your device will remember the network and connect automatically next time you visit campus
Guest Wi-Fi
If visitors or friends can use the RCL-Guest network. They’ll need to register their details when prompted. Guest access is temporary and monitored for security reasons.
Wi-Fi tips:
- Keep your device’s Wi-Fi on and updated to ensure a stable connection
- For the best signal, stay within the main teaching, library, and communal areas
- Avoid sharing the Wi-Fi password publicly or with non-students
Usage policies and staying secure
By using RCL’s Wi-Fi or any online services, you agree to follow the IT policies. This ensures all students and visitors use the network fairly, legally, and safely.
Key principles:
- Use RCL systems for study, research, or personal learning only
- Do not download or share illegal, offensive, or copyrighted content
- Protect your login details – never share your password with others
- Always log out when using shared computers or public devices
- Report suspicious emails or activity immediately to IT Support
Remember: Network misuse can lead to disciplinary action and may affect your access to RCL systems.
