Receiving your equipment and software
This page explains how to access software, equipment, and find funding for essential study equipment.
Whether you’re downloading Microsoft 365, using specialist software, or applying for a short-term laptop loan, Regent College London provides the digital tools and support you need to succeed.
Download software
You have free access to a wide range of learning and productivity tools, including Microsoft 365, Teams, and OneDrive, using your RCL student email account.
Software available includes:
- Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook).
- Microsoft Teams (for classes, messaging, and calls).
- OneDrive (1TB of secure cloud storage).
- Course-specific software (depending on your programme).
How to download software:
- Activate your RCL student email account and log in.
- Follow the software installation instructions for your device when prompted (Windows, macOS, or mobile).
Equipment advice and laptop loans
To make sure you’re set up for your studies from day one, here’s some guidance on the kind of equipment you’ll need and what support is available if you don’t have access to a laptop.
Recommended laptop specification
- Processor: Intel i5 or equivalent
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Storage: 256GB SSD
- Operating system: Windows 10 or macOS 12 or later
- Internet access: Reliable internet connection for online learning
Campus PCs
Computer rooms and study areas are available at all RCL campuses. You can use any of these PCs by logging in with your student ID and password.
Laptop loan
If you don’t have access to a suitable device, you may be eligible for a laptop through the RCL’s laptop bursary.
