January students: Become a Student Voice Representative

1–2 minutes

Be the voice of your class

Every class at RCL has a Student Voice Representative (SVR) – a student who represents their classmates, shares feedback, and works with staff to help improve the student experience.

Rep elections for January intakes

If you began your studies in January, it’s time to elect or re-elect your class representative for the academic year.

Elections will take place from Monday 2 to Monday 9 February 2026. During this week, Campus Operations staff will visit your class to run a short, in-class election. You can nominate yourself or vote for a classmate to represent your cohort for the rest of the academic year.

What does an SVR do?

Student Voice Representatives:

  • Collect and share feedback from their class
  • Represent students in school-level and college-wide meetings
  • Work with staff, School Representatives, and the Student President
  • Help shape improvements to teaching, support services, and student life

Being an SVR is also a great way to build confidence, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills – perfect for boosting your CV.

Who can be a rep?

Anyone! No prior experience is needed; just enthusiasm, commitment, and a willingness to listen and represent your peers.

Step up as the voice of your class and join over 300 student representatives shaping the student experience. Together, we can build a stronger student voice at RCL.
