With effect from January 2026, several student policies have been updated to make sure our processes are clear, fair and aligned with national expectations across higher education. These changes are part of our commitment to keeping you informed and supported throughout your studies.

While not all changes will affect every student, it’s important to understand what’s changed and what it means for you.

  • Simplified and more consistent appeals and complaints procedures, with clearer timelines and grounds
  • Streamlined disciplinary processes aligned with the Student Charter
  • Strengthened commitments to inclusion, wellbeing, reasonable adjustments and support for student parents
