Free and confidential sessions with a Wellbeing Advisor
Our Wellbeing and Disability team offers free appointments to support your wellbeing. One-to-one wellbeing sessions give you a safe, confidential space to talk about anything affecting your wellbeing or student experience.
These are supportive conversations (not counselling) designed to help you feel heard, explore practical coping strategies, and identify next steps.
What can you discuss?
Wellbeing sessions are a safe space for you to talk. You might want to talk about:
- Missing home or adjusting to life in the UK
- Feeling anxious, low, or overwhelmed
- Coping with coursework, deadlines, or exams
- Struggling with motivation or confidence
- Balancing study, work, or personal responsibilities
We can also suggest practical ideas, including local places to visit, student activities, and ways to build routine and manage stress.

Wellbeing support and reasonable adjustments
Wellbeing sessions focus on emotional support and coping strategies.
If you require academic adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition, the team will arrange a separate appointment with you to discuss reasonable adjustments and formal support options. If you’re unsure what type of support you need, email wellbeing@rcl.ac.uk for support.
