Student voice representation
At Regent College London (RCL), your voice shapes the student experience. Student representation provides a clear, meaningful way to share feedback, influence decisions and help improve student life.
Student Voice Representatives
Student Voice Representatives (SVRs) are the main link between students and academic teams. They listen to student feedback, raise concerns with staff, and help improve teaching, learning, and support within each programme.
What SVRs do:
- Gather feedback on the student experience.
- Attend training run by the Student Experience Team.
- Make sure students know how to share feedback.
- Join the Student Voice Forum (SVF).
- Share updates and outcomes with their classmates.
- Signpost students to the right staff or service.
SVRs are elected by students on their programme. No experience is needed as training and support is provided.

School Representatives
School Representatives work across programmes to identify shared priorities and ensure student perspectives shape school-level decisions.
What School Reps do:
- Attend training from the Student Experience Team.
- Gather and review feedback from SVRs across the school.
- Share updates on actions taken in response to student feedback.
- Attend school-level and College committees.
- Contribute to projects that enhance the wider student experience.
- Signpost students to appropriate teams.
School Reps serve for up to one academic year. Eligibility criteria vary by school. Support and training are provided.
Student President
The Student President acts as the main representative for all students at RCL.
What the Student President does:
- Lead two Student Council meetings each academic year.
- Communicate regularly with students and gather feedback.
- Advocate for improvements to student support services.
- Lead all student representatives, including School Reps and SVRs.
- Represent students at major College committees.
- Share updates on decisions and outcomes.
- Signpost students to support services when needed.
- Attend required training from the Student Experience Team.
The President is elected for one academic year. No prior experience is required as training and support are provided throughout the term of office.
