Wellbeing support

Supporting your wellbeing

You’re not alone – support is here for you. If you’re feeling anxious, low, stressed, or simply not yourself, our Wellbeing and Disability Support team can help.

Our dedicated wellbeing professionals provide a safe, confidential space to talk about your needs and connect you to the right support, whether that’s self-help tools, workshops, or a referral to specialist services.

You don’t need a diagnosis or a GP referral to reach out.

What can we help with

University life can bring both opportunities and challenges. You may be balancing study, work, family, or personal responsibilities – and at times, this can feel overwhelming.

Our Wellbeing Coordinators can support you with:

  • Managing stress, anxiety, or low mood.
  • Coping with loneliness, loss, or relationship issues.
  • Adjusting to life at college and managing academic pressure.
  • Developing resilience, confidence, and healthy habits.
  • Navigating challenges such as homelessness and substance misuse.
  • Finding specialist or long-term mental health support if you need it.

We’ll listen, guide you to the right type of help, and support you to feel more in control.

How wellbeing support works

Our wellbeing appointments are free and confidential. You’ll meet one of our trained Wellbeing Coordinators, who can help you explore what’s affecting you and suggest practical next steps.

During your support session, we can:

  • Offer immediate advice and emotional support.
  • Suggest coping strategies or self-help resources.
  • Create personalised support plans to support your learning needs.
  • Refer you to external counselling organisations for short-term therapy.
  • Connect you with local NHS or specialist services if needed.
  • Help you access wellbeing workshops or local wellbeing initiatives.

Appointments are available online or in person at your campus. You can book an appointment with the Wellbeing and Disability Support team by completing a form.
