Staying safe: security and scams

Protect your data by being alert to scam emails pretending to be from the College, Student Finance, or partner universities.

How to spot a scam email:

  • The sender’s email address looks suspicious or unfamiliar.
  • You’re asked to click a link or share your password.
  • The message contains spelling errors, threats or urgent warnings.
  • The link doesn’t match an official RCL or Microsoft domain.

What to do:

  • Do not click on links or open attachments from unknown senders.
  • Forward suspicious messages to support@regentgroup.org.uk.
  • Delete the email once reported.
If you think your account has been compromised:
Security best practices:

Manage your inbox efficiently to make sure you never miss an important update.

Top tips for managing your email:

Email policies:

  • Forwarding emails to personal accounts is discouraged to protect data security.
