What’s included in the updated Charter?
The new Student Charter has been developed around five key commitments that reflect student life at RCL:
- Education: Our commitment to high-quality teaching, clear academic expectations, and fair assessment, alongside your responsibility to engage fully with your studies.
- Support: Access to academic, wellbeing, disability, and pastoral support, and the importance of seeking help early when you need it.
- Opportunity: Opportunities to develop academically, professionally, and personally through wider college life and student engagement.
- Respect: A safe, inclusive learning environment where everyone is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect.
- Employability: Support to help you build skills, plan your career, and prepare for life beyond your studies.
Why this matters
The Student Charter is there to support you throughout your studies, giving you a clear overview of your rights, responsibilities, and the support you can expect from Regent College.
We encourage all students to take a few minutes to read the updated Charter and become familiar with it. Understanding the Charter helps strengthen our shared learning community.
