If you have a disability, long-term health condition, mental health issue, or specific learning difference, our Wellbeing and Disability Support team is ready to assist you. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to access our services.
Who we help
Under the Equality Act 2010, a disability is defined as a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term effect on your ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
We support students who have:
- Long-term health conditions (e.g., diabetes, epilepsy, Crohn’s disease).
- A Mental health condition (e.g., anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder).
- Dyslexia or another Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs).
- Autistic spectrum disorders, e.g. Asperger’s syndrome, have sensory impairments (e.g., hearing or visual impairments).
- Physical impairments.
You don’t need a medical diagnosis to start the conversation. If you think your condition affects your learning or participation, contact us – we’ll help you explore your options and guide you through the next steps.
